The album
For a Russian pianist, grown and educated in Moscow, Piotr llic Tchaikovsky is like a sun with a universe turning around it.
The first notes I ever played were by Tchaikovsky - the delicious small pieces from the Children's Album - it's music by Tchaikovsky (the mythical First Piano Concerto, played by Van Cliburn, another totem who comes often in my life), the soundtrack of the meetings at the first day of school, September First. lt's Tchaikovsky who names the Conservatory of Music in Moscow, where i completed my studies, arriving here as to the Sacre Tempie. My beloved Maestro,Viktor Merzhanov, dedicateci his life to Tchaikovsky's music. This recording is dedicated to his memory.

Tatiana Larionova
In 1991 entered the Central Music School of Moscow. After graduating in 1997 she attended the Moscow State Conservatory where she studied until 2004 with Victor Merzhanov, taking with the best votes her doctorate. Tatiana is a prize winner of several international piano competitions; she partecipated in international piano festivals including the Tirolerfestspiele Eri, Collegno Festival in Lucca, European Piano Forum in Berlin, and Bodensee-Festival. She has performed recitals and concertos in the most important halls in Europe (ltaly, Russia, Belarus, Germany, Poland, France, Austria, Switzerland etc.) and US. Tatiana is currently living in ltaly, where she regularly performs for the most important societies, and is also passionately dedicated to chamber music (playing in several ensembles from duo to quintet) and teaching. Together with Davide Cabassi, she is artistic director of the festival "Primavera di Baggio" in Milan.
