Anca Vasile Caraman
Anca Vasile Caraman was born in Romania and began studying the violin at the age of 5 in her hometown, Tulcea with prof. Mioara Prisada and Alexandru Piculeata, subsequently attending the “George Enescu” music high school followed by prof. Olivia Papa, Cornel Micuț and Valeriu Rogacev and the National University of Music in Bucharest with prof. Octavian Rațiu until 2005, with a university degree and master's degree. In 2006 he began his studies at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, enrolling in the Violin High Specialization course, studying with Domenico Nordio and subsequently graduating in 2009. He won 9 national prizes in Romania and 3 international prizes, the last of which won in the “Rovere d'Oro 2010” soloist category. He has participated in major international competitions such as the “Queen Elisabeth” in Brussels, the “Violin Masters” in Monte Carlo and has played as a soloist with orchestras in Romania and Italy. He has participated in numerous violin and conducting masterclasses with: Yuri Torcinsky, Mark Lubovsky, Nabueko Aseada, Giulio Franzetti, Kim Nam Num, Yvry Gitlis, Ion Voicu, Stefan Gheorghiu, Helena Bondarenko, Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Gilberto Serembe, Riccardo Mute. He has performed concert activity in numerous productions in Italy and Romania, as well as in France, Moldova, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Japan, China, the Netherlands, Belgium and England. He has recorded 15 CDs and one DVD for the record companies Phoenix, Brilliant Classics, Bam, Stradivarius Italia and Movimento Classical. He is pursuing a PhD with the topic "Violin highlights in the creation of Max Reger", in Musical Interpretation at the National University of Music in Bucharest (Romania) under the guidance of prof.dr.univ. Șerban Dimitrie Soreanu. He is a student at the Parma Conservatory in prof.'s composition class. Luca Tesssadrelli.
